Fundraising Initiatives
Deb's Circle offers its creative wellness programs free of charge, aiming to reduce financial barriers to participation. Fundraising allows us to continue to provide these important programs in our community. Currently, our fundraising initiatives are focused in two areas: Art Sales and Art Creation. These initatives are also an important avenue for community outreach. We are continuing to explore additional fundraising activities to help us continue our mission, and reach our goals.
Fundraising Giclee
All proceeds from the sales of our fundraising giclees support causes beneficial to women's wellness. Purchasing giclees is one way of supporting Deb's Circle, as 100% of the proceeds are put back into the organization and its resources.
Fundraising giclee "Mother and Young" - Woman of Faith by Christian Morriseau (1969-2022)
'Mother and Young - Woman of Faith' created by Christian Morriseau illustrates the message that love can help you overcome life's challenges and restore faith, giving you hope for brighter days ahead. The loons have their eyes closed as they are uncertain about the future, however loving support gives them hope for better days to come, as represented by the energy circles in red and yellow.
The story behind this painting mirrors the vision, mission, and values of Deb's CIrcle -- loving support helps in dealing with life's uncertainties, and will restore hope for the future. Love, faith, and hope are the principles of caring societies and organizations that are committed to helping others. These are the pillars of Deb's Circle. We embrace the message in 'Mother and Young -- Woman of Faith' by Christian Morriseau, and are proud to present it as our first fundraising giclee.
The story of the creation of the painting: "I was looking at a blank canvas and thinking about what to draw or paint. I remembered the time that my siblings, Michael, Lisa, and myself reunited with our mother ,Harriet, after spending time in foster care. This painting captures that time. Our eyes were closed as they were very uncertain of the future, however we felt our mother's love and care, depicted by the mother loon's extending her arm in love and protection. Her love for us gave us hope for brighter days ahead -- captured in the energy circles. This is why I have named the painting 'Mother and Young - Woman of Faith' " - Christian Morriseau

Deb's Circle is in the very fortunate position of having a collaborative relationship with Gallery On The Lake, formerly owned by the Deb's Circle founded, Esther Inglis. Because of this collaboration, we are able to provide exhibits featuring world-class art. Our beautiful facilities are adorned with fantastic fine art that is always available for purchase.

Learn from talented professional artists in small group workshops designed to allow personal attention as you try new mediums and develop skills. Paintings will be featured in future fundraising events!
